APPLICATION

Steam Treat - 100 is a complex amine which provides excellent corrosion control in steam and condensate lines.

Features

Stops Corrosion-Volatilizes and quickly neutralizes the corrosive action of carbon dioxide and other acidic components in steam.

Maintains Proper pH - Keeps the pH of the condensate system in the noncorrosive, alkaline range.

Protection Assured - Creates the proper condition for the formation of a protective oxide film.  This assures protection even when the pH drops intermittently.

Cleaning Action - Cleans away old rust deposits previously produced by corrosion and carryover of boiler water.

Maintains Clean Boilers - Reduces contaminating corrosion products in the boiler feedwater.

Cannot Cause Fouling - Forms no soluble reaction products.

Stable - Will not break down at high temperatures and pressures.

DESCRIPTION

Steam Treat - 100 is a liquid, alkaline amine that is soluble with water in all proportions.  Its vapor characteristics are very similar to those of water and steam.  It will volatilize and condense completely with the steam and condenser.

FEEDING METHODS

Steam Treat - 100 can be fed continuously by a proportioning pump or intermittently by a pot-type feeder. It is introduced into the system at the boiler condensate receiver, directly to the steam or condensate lines, or any point in the system.

HANDLING

Do not take internally.  Handle as any volatile base.  Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapors and getting in eyes and nose.  Store in closed containers and away from excessive heat.
