PRODUCT APPLICATION

 

Boiler Treat-DJ is a custom blended boiler water treatment which provides exceptionally good corrosion and deposit control in steam boilers and hot water boilers without the use of phosphates or chromates.

Boiler Treat-DJ combines both organic and inorganic inhibitors to reduce pitting and corrosion; synthetic organic polymeric sludge conditioners and dispersants to reduce deposits and improve heat transfer; alkalinity adjuncts to maintain proper system water alkalinity to reduce corrosion and deposits; neutralizing amine to reduce corrosion in the steam and condensate return line and preboiler system.

The organic sludge conditioners in Boiler Treat-DJ prevent deposition through crystal modification. The dispersants aid in the slow removal existing scale and deposits in boilers.

Note: All ingredients used in Boiler Treat-DJ conform to the Food and Drug Administration (F.D.A.) Regulations, Title 21,173.310, for use in boilers where the steam produced may contact food or food packaging.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

·   A single blend which prevents scale, deposits, corrosion and pitting in boilers and the steam/condensate return lines.

·       When fed to the boiler’s feedwater tank, will also provide these benefits to the feedwater tank, feedwater pump and feedwater lines without requiring additional chemical usage.

·        Increases safety by reducing handling and mixing of chemicals. Boiler Treat-DJ may be fed directly from the shipping container.

·        Reduces the time and labor required for the mixing and testing when individual treatments are used.

·        Boiler Treat-DJ will improve heat transfer efficiency by the slow removal of insulating scale and deposits.

 

PRODUCT DOSAGE

Boiler Treat-DJ is controlled in steam boilers by maintaining Sulfite levels between 30 and 50 ppm. Boiler Treat-DJ is controlled hot water boiler by maintaining Sulfite levels between 50 and 100 ppm.

PRODUCT SAFETY

As with any industrial chemical, Boiler Treat-DJ should be handled with appropriate care. All plant personnel who may have contact with Boiler Treat-DJ should review the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to familiarize themselves with the application, handling, storage and disposal procedures before using.
